Elves Overboard was founded in August 2023. The inspiration for the show was to give families and the community and affordable Christmas Panto experience during a cost of living crisis. For £12 per ticket, attendees were given a two hour show that would traditionally cost over £30. The project encouraged people to stay in Cowbridge for Christmas, rather than leaving to go to Cardiff. Eat dinner in Rocket & Rye before and have a drink in the Horse & Groom or The Duke of Wellington after.

The response was overwhelmingly popular, selling out in early November.

WHAT WE DO

Tom Hope PR founded and managed the entire project.

• Devised the storyline for the show.​

• Overall of Town Hall Stage: Painting, new lights, star cloth and set design. This can now be used by the communi

• Hired a production company to write, direct and star in the production.

• Designed the website www.cowbridgepanto.com

• Designed the artwork.

• Hired a tech company to run the event.

• Arranged school shows for the community.

• Negotiated to have Ian H Watkins, Gareth Thomas & Caryl Parry Jones voice over in the production. We also had them agree to turn the Christmas lights on.

• Managed the graphic design, marketing and PR of the project.​
